Founder: Xavier Vaucois
Xavier Vaucois was born in France in 1975. He studied in both France and the UK, earning an engineering degree from ISEP (France) and a PhD with honors from the University of Hull (UK). After completing his studies, he worked at the European Patent Office in the Netherlands for three years. In 2001, he left to create his first startup in France, which developed technologies in the fields of search engines and big data. Xavier holds four patents and has had the opportunity to collaborate with tech leaders in France and Silicon Valley.
In 2011, he founded General Internet Company (GI) in both France and Silicon Valley. In 2013, he established a foundation to fund great causes using the profits generated by the growth engines he invented for clients. GI operates in the eCommerce marketplace and fintech sectors. From 2015 to 2020, Xavier lived in Silicon Valley to expand the business.
In 2021, he launched GI Capital, a private equity fund based in California, to invest in equity and fixed-income assets. Between 2021 and 2024, Xavier worked on a marketplace distribution platform project powered by data analytics and AI (generating €20 million per year) and on a purchase order financing service (€12 million per year). Currently, Xavier is developing a new SaaS Marketplace Distribution Platform powered by data analytics and AI, which will offer managed services, including financial services like lending and purchase order financing, customer relationship, shipping, logistics…
